This 26 kilometre route on crosses the Mornington Peninsula from Dromana (on Port Philip Bay) to Bushrangers Bay at Cape Schanck (on the Bass Strait)
Starting in Dromana, the trail travels up Arthurs Seat and beyond to Cape Schanck.
From Dromana, head up Arthurs Seat towards the lookout tower to get a great view of Melbourne. Continue to Waterfall Gully Rd (total distance approx 6.7km).
At Waterfall Gully Rd, the trail continues to Browns Rd (another 3.3km) then crosses back into the National Park for an 11km stretch through Greens Bush down to Boneo Rd. From Boneo Rd, follow the coastline to the Cape Schanck lighthouse (5km).
Some sections can be quite challenging.
From Melbourne, travel south-east to Dromana via the Monash, Eastlink, Frankston and Mooroduc and Mornington Peninsula Freeways. Approximate travel time by car is 1.5 hours.
There are no fees or charges for this trail.
No water is available along the trail, so be sure to carry some with you.
The Mornington Peninsula contains many family-friendly activities including patrolled surf beaches, wineries and breweries, and scenic vistas.
The portion of this trail that climbs Arthurs Seat is quite steep.
