Just outside Warrandyte in Melbourne's outer north-east is this trail follows the Yarra River to the top of Mt Lofty, through undisturbed native vegitation.
From Wittons Reserve, follow the trail along the Yarra River to Lower Homestead Rd. Midway along the trail you come to the top of Mt Lofty.
When you reach Lower Homestead Rd, you can return via the road or retrace your steps along the trail.
The track is 3km one-way, so allow extra time for your return.
From Warrandyte, in Melbourne's north-east, travel West along the Warrandyte-Ringwood Rd. Turn left at the roundabout and follow Jumping Creek Rd until you reach Homestead Rd. Follow this, and keep left as it turns into Reserve Rd. At the end of Reserve Rd is Wittons Reserve.

There are no fees for this park or trail.
There is parking and information boards at both ends of the trail, however there is no freshwater. Water from the Yarra River should not be consumed without being treated.
